MFNF is back!

For the 3rd edition, the Nordic event of the summer in France is back, for a whole weekend, at the Pâquier d’Annecy. Organized by Martin Fourcade, the Nordic Festival (MFNF) will feature cross-country skiing and biathlon races, biathlon running, a huge brand village by Ekosport and an opening concert facing the lake from September 2 to 4, 2022.

Created by France’s most awarded biathlete, the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival is a 3-day festival open to the general public and free of charge, opening up the discipline to everyone. The festival has already made a name for itself thanks to the popularity of Martin Fourcade, a former top-level biathlete who brought biathlon to the general public during his competitions.
The Festival gives biathlon visibility outside the 4 months of winter, outside the ski resorts, and also introduces the discipline to young athletes.

Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival: 3rd edition

As in 2021, the action begins on Friday lunchtime with the opening of the Ekosport village. A variety of events are scheduled throughout the weekend: autograph sessions, biathlon initiation, various sports brands, the official boutique, foodtrucks… In the evening, an exclusive concert by Cali will take place in front of the lake, after the presentation of the athletes who will compete the following day.

Saturday is the day of elite competitions. With biathlon and cross-country ski races, on a course that doesn’t look like it but is quite demanding. World stars in cross-country skiing and biathlon are expected, including Marte Olsbu Roeiseland, Dorothea Wieber and Quentin Fillon-Maillet – the figurehead of the men’s races, who led all of last year’s festival – and many others to discover or rediscover.

And Sunday will be a day of initiation for the general public, children and biathlon enthusiasts. On the program: races for children and the traditional biathlon running.

These 3 days are an opportunity for athletes to share a moment with their opponents, outside the sporting season, and with the public.

“There’s a sense of pride, because you have a high-level career for yourself, but above all because you love your sport and want to promote it. I’ve put a lot of effort into this festival to give biathlon visibility outside the 4 months of winter.”
