Let yourself be tempted by a stroll from the Gardens of Europe via the Pont des Amours. If you feel like it, hang up a small padlock as a good luck charm, then continue on to the gardens of the 4* Impérial Palace, home to international events all year round.

For the more sporty, a wide range of activities are on offer: from a segway on the lakeside to paragliding, Annecy is one of the best known sites in Europe for the practice of unusual activities. Discover the Mont Veyrier by mountain bike or visit the Menthon-Saint-Bernard castle, a jewel overlooking Lake Annecy which is said to have inspired Walt Disney for his film Sleeping Beauty.
